With funding support from the Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD), YDAS worked with young volunteers with disabilities and some volunteering organizations, to showcase the volunteering stories below. They highlight the experiences and important contribution of young volunteers with disabilities and the ways in which host organisations are able to support them.
We also created some tipsheets and videos for young people with disabilities about volunteering, including why you would, what you can get out of it and how to find a keep a successful volunteering placement, including practical stuff like discussing supports you need.
